The Concept: The Self as Interface
For our inaugural exhibition, Galeria 5a ao sul invites artists to submit works exploring the theme "The Self as Interface".
In an era dominated by ubiquitous computing, algorithmic mediation and continuous digital presence, the boundaries of subjectivity have shifted. The body is no longer where the self ends; instead, the self is projected, fragmented, and reconstructed through screens, data, and code. We look for artistic proposals that critically engage with how our identity, memory, and intimacy are translated into digital environments. How do we inhabit the screen? How does the post-digital landscape reshape our physical and psychological sensitivity?
We are seeking contemporary artworks that challenge traditional boundaries, exploring hybrid languages and new transmedia narratives.
Eligible Mediums
We accept contemporary art submissions with a primary focus on digital and post-digital art. Eligible formats include:
 Digital Imagery and Photography
 Video Art and Moving Image
Interactive Digital Art (submitted as static frames/stills)
 Documentation of Transmedia Performances
Note: Since the gallery operates entirely online, we do not handle or exhibit physical artworks.
